Splitty, a BHD Group company
Splitty is BHD Group's group expense-splitting app. One shared kitty per trip or shared home: contributions go in, expenses come out, balances update live, and settle-up reduces the transfers needed to square the group. It is designed and built in Muscat, Oman, and wholly owned by Bin Haider Darwish L.L.C. (Commercial Registration 1334733).

Why the group builds this
Splitty started as an internal tool for a group trip and became a product because the category had a blind spot. The Gulf runs on mixed-language groups and on currencies with three decimal places, and the incumbents handle neither well. Splitty is built for the group where the six people settling a bill do not all read the same language.
Frequently asked questions
Who owns Splitty?
Splitty is wholly owned by BHD Group (Bin Haider Darwish L.L.C., Commercial Registration 1334733), a family-owned Omani group based in Muscat.
Is Splitty free?
Core use is free. On the web, an optional Pro subscription is OMR 12.000 a year or OMR 1.500 a month, and adds the PDF trip report and WhatsApp reminder credits.
Is there a Splitty mobile app?
Yes. The iPhone and iPad app is on the App Store as “Splitty: Split Bills & Trips” (Apple ID 6790855314), published by Bin Haider Darwish L.L.C. The Android app is on Google Play as package om.splitty.app. The installable web app also works on Android and desktop.
What languages does Splitty support?
That set is unusual for this category. The category incumbent, Splitwise, ships no Arabic at all, and Urdu, Malayalam, Bengali and Tagalog are rare across the category despite being first languages for a large share of the Gulf workforce.
Does Splitty handle Omani rial correctly?
Yes. OMR, along with Bahraini dinar, Kuwaiti dinar and Jordanian dinar, is held to three decimal places in integer minor units, so baisa amounts do not drift. Most consumer splitting apps assume two decimals.
